Magnetic Attraction: Tiny Magnetic Pets Working On A New Album With Legendary Producer Gareth Jones

We'd always produced our own records but we wanted to do something different for this one - but who would be the right producer for TMP? Paula suggested Gareth first. We'd always been massive fans of his work not only with Depeche Mode and Wire but Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Erasure, Interpol etc. - A unanimous decision from TMP!

It just so happened that we were going to London for Vince Clarke’s performance of his “Songs of Silence” album in November of last year. Gareth & Mute Records founder Daniel Miller’s modular synth project Sunroof were the opening act and after the show we approached him about the possibility of producing our next album.

Soooo - to cut this long story short: We sent him a few demo tracks, he immediately understood where we wanted to go with this record and he was on board!

To date: we've been working between Dublin and London (Strongroom), Gareth has been working his magic, half of the album is in the can and we are over the moon with the results.

It's a very exciting work in progress and we can't wait to share it with everyone.
